Our Team

Mike Bombino, CPA

A CPA since 1981, Mike has served as the Chief Financial Officer of a major subsidiary of a Fortune 500 company and practiced extensively in the field of taxation in both the public and private sectors.

Mike has knowledge in business valuation and business acquisitions, is trained in fraud examination, has performed litigation support services, and had an ownership interest in an international trading company.

Mike values his clients, has a genuine interest in assisting business owners, and aspires to be a Partner to Success for his clients.

Mike graduated with a BA in Accounting from the University of South Florida in 1979 and has maintained his technical skills with over 2,000 hours of continuing professional education. He is a member of the Manatee Chamber of Commerce, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance, and currently is serving as Secretary/Treasurer of the Referrals in Action (Lakewood Ranch) Chapter of Business Networking International (BNI). Mike’s interest include spending time with his wife Nancy, attending church, exercising, golf, music, meeting people, and following our local sport teams.

Ken Kwaitkowski

Ken joined the firm in 2016 and brings with him over 25 years of hands-on CFO and Controller experience in both the public and private sector and includes Big 4 accounting experience.

Ken’s business background and practical experiences are drawn upon for providing consulting and advisory services, including part-time CFO engagements. Ken is actively involved on the operational side of the practice. Ken also performs accounting services and assists clients with bookkeeping and training, utilizing his On-Line Quick Books Certified Pro Advisor qualifications. Ken also serves as Director of Business Development for the Firm.

Ken is a founder of the Gulf Coast Forum, is a US Navy Veteran, who served during Desert Shield and Desert Storm Campaigns prior to relocating to the Sarasota/Bradenton area in 1992. Ken holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Franklin Pierce University in NH and holds an AA degree in Electrical Engineering from the US Navy.

Over the last two decades many local Not for Profits have benefited from Ken’s knowledge. Expertise and time spent enriching their boards including organizations such as St. Martha School Board, Cardinal Mooney, The Suncoast Partnership to End Homelessness and the Sarasota BMX Track.

Ken enjoys spending time with his wife Shannon, daughter Victoria and son AJ. The family especially enjoys Friday night high school football at Braden River High, watching their favorite player, #72 AJ Kwaitkowski play.

Andrew LePenna

Andrew graduated from the University of South Florida in 2014 with a five year accounting degree. He joined the firm as a full time employee in January, 2015. Andrew has been involved in all aspects of the firm’s operations, including bookkeeping, accounting, taxation, and is our resident expert for addressing technical issues on the firm’s project management, tax and accounting software.

Over the last three years, Andrew has contributed to the preparation and review of over 1,500 tax returns and has been involved in researching many technical tax issues. Andrew real love is fishing and he goes any chance the weather permits.

Susan O’Shea

Susan graduated from Rutgers College in New Brunswick, NJ in May 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in History – Magna Cum Laude. She is an animal lover, with job experience as a Support Manager and Pet Car Manager for PetSmart, and has experience as a dog trainer.

Susan works our front desk, which involves greeting our clients, receiving client information, delivering the firm’s work products, and managing & controlling, through our robust project and staff management software, all of the work processed through our office.

Susan assists with Business Development activities, requiring creative thinking, and is launching our social media strategies and initiatives.

Susan is currently working towards a Master’s Degree.

Nancy Bombino

Nancy, Mike’s wife, is a graduate of Eckerd College with a Management degree. Nancy handles the firm’s bookkeeping and payroll processing and is the office manager, keeping the work environment organized and supplied.

She is actively involved with the packaging and e-filing of the tax returns and performs quality control tasks in a number of areas, including editor of firm communications and ensuring that client’s data is properly handled.

Nancy assists Mike with keeping current on important communications and helps our clients requiring special deliveries or assistance.

Reba C. Rogers, CPA / Seasonal Staff

Reba, a CPA since 1975, owned AAA Bookkeeping & Tax Service from 2003 until November 1, 2013. After the sale of the tax and accounting practice to Mike Bombino, she continues to work for Mike during tax season, providing tax preparation services.

Kearsten Jones / Part Time Staff

Kearsten, is currently employed by the US Navy. She is employed as a part-time employee to assist the firm with performing bookkeeping services and other tasks that can be performed remotely.
